SCTP Shoot Information

The Iowa SCTP Trap Championships will be held on June 8th – 14th, 2026 at the ISTA home grounds near Cedar Falls, IA.

All camping and vending arrangements must be made in advance, accompanied by payment. NO reservations may be made by phone.

SCTP Camping 

SCTP Camping cost is $30 [PLUS 7% SALES TAX = $32.10] per night including water and electricity and MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE by mail. Payment for camping is by check only – do not send cash.

Returning campers have the first right of refusal of their sites. The information is emailed out each year no later than the first part of January, but it can be earlier. This year, it will be emailed on December 29th, 2025. If you are wanting to reserve a new site or additional sites, please submit these separately than sites you already have. These requests are placed on a waitlist in the order they are received.

Vending

Anyone interested in vending, please reach out to Lindsey at 641-231-1608 before sending in form and payment. Returning vendors will receive an email by the end of December 2025 with details. Vendors sites are available with and without electricity. Before the event, a list of vendors will be published here.

Parking

There will be NO parking along the highway this year per the County Sherriff. There will be the grounds and two other sites to be able to park on each day. Handicap parking will be near all of the picnic shelters along the trap line this year to accommodate those who need it. With having large parking areas, we will be utilizing parking crews. If you or your team is interested in helping, please contact one of the board members. There will be some form of payment, but the board is still deciding.

Team trailer parking is going to be by reservations only. This is for any teams wanting to park trailers along the trap line. Please complete the form and mail in payment.

Membership

All athletes participating at the Iowa State SCTP Shoot are required to be ISTA members. Membership this year are stickers that are to go on the back of the ATA plastic card. There are a few ways to complete the ISTA membership:

• If you want to pay with a credit card, add the number of athletes you are paying for in the cart. You MUST put the team name in the comment area to tie the payment to your team. The mass membership form needs to be completed and emailed to iowastateshoot@gmail.com
• If you want to pay with a check, complete the mass membership form and mail the check to the ISTA at 1303 Ironwood Rd, Harlan, IA 51537

All memberships MUST be taken care of before the Iowa SCTP Trap Championships. If you are mailing any portion of the membership, it must arrive to the ISTA before May 27th, 2024.
